We are honored to serve as Co-chairs of the Play Works Campaign.  We are equally excited to play a role in securing the future of the Museum by building on the tremendous accomplishments of many before us who, over the years, have worked hard to see the Museum grow and flourish.

As we talk with people throughout the community about our campaign goals, we are constantly impressed with what we learn about the Museum’s great reputation, its highly regarded community outreach programs and the many learning opportunities that are offered to children and their families.

• Since moving to Providence in 1997 and tripling its square footage, budget and audience, the Museum has continued to grow, serving ever more families in need, creating innovative exhibits and responsive programs and cementing its reputation in Rhode Island and nationally.
• Attendance continues to grow. With three consecutive years of record attendance, the Museum welcomes more than 145,000 visitors annually.
• The Museum is one of the top 10 tourist and cultural attractions in Rhode Island.
• More than 200 volunteers give their time each year to assist the Museum.
• The prestigious Kresge Foundation Challenge grant is a powerful endorsement of our institution and our future.
  

Celebrating over 30 years of service, Providence Children’s Museum is an extraordinary place that touches the hearts and minds of everyone who visits.  It has become an icon in the community and an important part of the Rhode Island landscape.  Whether you are new to the Museum, or if you have been a friend for many years, we hope you will join us in supporting the Play Works Campaign.  We need your help so that the Museum can continue to grow and flourish, just like the children it serves.
