Providence Children’s Museum is committed to serving the
children of southern New England. Working in partnership with such
organizations as Rhode Island Department of Children, Youth and
Families (DCYF), Greater Providence Head Start and community centers
throughout Providence and surrounding cities, the Museum brings its
services to children and families of limited financial means.
- Families Together – The
nationally recognized therapeutic visitation program that brings
court-separated families together in the Museum’s hands-on exhibits.
- AmeriCorps – A dynamic team
of young adults gives a year of community service helping children
learn at the Museum.
- Head Start/Good Start –
Reaching out to
1,200 young children in Greater Providence, a program of the Museum’s
AmeriCorps team.
- Learning Clubs – Helping
inner-city children discover the joy of learning, a program of the
Museum’s AmeriCorps team.
