Brownie Girl Scouts
Try-it at the Museum


Ready, Set, MOVE!
With five science activities, Brownies design and build gliders, cars and rockets.  They'll earn the Movers Badge by playing in the Museum's hands-on exhibits and experimenting with new ways to make things go!

Registration includes a snack, a Movers Try-it badge, admission to the Museum for the evening and a pass for each Scout for a future visit to the Museum.


It's a Friday night after-hours adventure from 6:00 PM to 9:00 PM on the following dates:

February 1, 2008
March 14, 2008
March 28, 2008
May 2, 2008

Overnights for Junior Girl Scouts
You bring your sleeping bag and toothbrush, and we provide the mystery and fun!

Whodunnit!  Calling all would-be detectives and supersleuths!  Girl Scouts are needed at Providence Children's Museum to solve a complex and intriguing mystery.  Search for fingerprints, decode ink stains and analyze a mysterious substance left behind by the culprit to piece together "whodunnit."

Registration includes a special "Providence Children's Museum Overnight" cloth patch, pizza dinner, breakfast, coffee for adults, admission to the Museum for the night and a pass for each Scout for a future visit to the Museum.

Overnight adventures start Friday at 6:00 PM and end Saturday at 7:30 AM on the following dates:

March 7, 2008
April 4, 2008

Cub Scouts After Hours

6:00 PM to 9:00 PM

Move-It: Science Adventure! 
With five fun science activities, Cub Scouts design and build gliders, boats and cars.  They'll earn a Science Belt Loop by playing in the Museum's hands-on exhibits and experimenting with water, air and new ways to make things go! 

Registration includes a snack, a Science Belt Loop, admission to the Museum for the evening and a pass for each Scout for a future visit to the Museum.

Cub Scouts Overnight
February 8, 2008

Registration Policies for Brownie Scouts and Junior Girls Scouts
(Cub Scouts registration policies are administered by The Narragansett Council, BSA)

A minimum of one adult per eight Scouts is required.  A non-refundable deposit is required within two weeks of booking ($50 for Brownie evenings, $100 for Junior Scout overnights).  Full payment is required two weeks prior to the evening; payment must be made for the number of girls you book for and no refunds will be issued for individual cancellations or absences.  Refunds will be allowed if cancellations are made four weeks in advance.  The Museum reserves the right to cancel due to insufficient registrations two weeks prior to event in which case we will try to reschedule your troop.  If we are unable to, all deposits and fees will be refunded.  Age-appropriate Scout siblings can be accommodated during Providence Children's Museum Scout programs.
