Ruff Ruffman, the cartoon canine star of PBS’s “FETCH! with Ruff Ruffman™” is always getting himself into doggone jams. Throw him a bone by helping complete a series of action-packed, mind-stretching challenges!


After-Hours Adventure for Brownie Girl Scouts

Fridays, February 12, March 12, April 30 and May 14, 2010

6:00 - 9:15 PM

Brownies learn some new tricks as they tackle challenges and devise clever solutions in hands-on science and engineering activities.  Help whirligigs hover, power racecars with rubber bands, design moving pictures, and more – plus have plenty of time to play in the Museum's exhibits!  

The evening includes six fun activities led by Museum educators, a FETCH! patch, a snack (coffee for adults), admission to the Museum for the evening and a pass for each Scout for a future Museum visit.

Overnight Exploration for Junior Girl Scouts

You bring your sleeping bag and toothbrush and we provide the fun!

Junior Girl Scouts dig deeper into mind-stretching challenges and bone up on their problem-solving skills!  Construct hoop gliders and send them soaring, create an animated story that plays tricks on the eyes, solve the case of a mystery substance, and more.  Bring your sleeping bag and camp out in the Museum's exhibits!

Overnight adventures start Friday at 6:30 PM and end Saturday at 7:30 AM and include a FETCH! patch, a snack (coffee for adults), continental breakfast, admission to the Museum for the night and a pass for each Scout for a future Museum visit.

Cub Scouts After-Hours Adventure

Cub Scouts learn some new tricks and earn a Science Belt Loop as they tackle challenges and devise clever solutions in hands-on science and engineering activities.  Help whirligigs hover, power racecars with rubber bands, design moving pictures, and more – plus have plenty of time to play in the Museum's exhibits!  

Registration includes the Science Belt Loop, six fun activities led by Museum educators, a snack (coffee for adults), admission to the Museum for the evening and a pass for each Scout for a future Museum visit.

Cub Scouts Overnight

Registration includes a "Providence Children's Museum Overnight" cloth patch, a snack (coffee for adults), continental breakfast, admission to the Museum for the night and a pass for each Scout for a future Museum visit.

This overnight adventure starts Friday at 6:30 PM and ends Saturday at 7:30 AM.

Registration Policies

  • A minimum of one adult per eight Scouts is required, but you are welcome to register additional adults.
  • A non-refundable deposit is required within two weeks of booking ($50 for Brownie evenings, $100 for Junior Scout overnights).
  • Full payment is required two weeks prior to the evening; payment must be made for the number of girls booked for and no refunds will be issued for individual cancellations or absences.
  • Refunds will be allowed if cancellations are made four weeks in advance.
  • The Museum reserves the right to cancel due to insufficient registrations two weeks prior to the event, in which case we will try to reschedule your troop. If we are unable to reschedule you, all deposits and fees will be refunded.
  • Age-appropriate Scout siblings may be accommodated during Providence Children’s Museum Scout programs; call for details.
