Calling all detectives and supersleuths!  Investigate an intriguing Museum mystery during suspiciously fun evening adventures and earn a Patch or Belt Loop.



Whodunnit After-Hours Adventure for Brownies and Junior Girl Scouts

The plot thickens as Brownie and Junior Girl Scouts puzzle through perplexing hands-on science challenges to crack the case.  Scouts search for fingerprints, decode ink stains, analyze handwriting and study mysterious substances to piece together “whodunnit” – plus have plenty of time to play in the Museum's exhibits!  

The evening includes captivating activities led by enthusiastic Museum educators; a Providence Children’s Museum fun patch; a snack (coffee for adults); admission to the Museum for the evening; and a pass for each Scout for a future Museum visit.  Whodunnit activities can apply to the Brownie Home Scientist and Junior Detective badges.

Whodunnit After-Hours Adventure for Cub Scouts

Friday, February 24

6:00 - 9:15 PM

Cub Scout detectives are on the case and take a crack at cool hands-on science challenges to piece together “whodunnit."  Scouts search for fingerprints, decode ink stains, analyze handwriting and study mysterious substances to collar the culprit – plus have plenty of time to play in the Museum's exhibits

The evening includes captivating activities led by Museum educators; a Science Belt Loop; a Providence Children’s Museum fun patch; a snack (coffee for adults); admission to the Museum for the evening; and a pass for each Scout for a future Museum visit. 

Registration fees are $25 per adult partner/youth, $20 per additional youth, $5 per additional adult.  For information and registration contact The Narragansett Council, BSA at (401) 351-8700.

Registration Policies

  • A minimum of 1 adult per 8 Scouts is required, but you are welcome to register additional adults.
  • A non-refundable deposit of $50 is required within two weeks of booking for Brownie and Girl Scout After-Hours Adventures.  For Cub Scout registration, see The Narragansett Council's policies.
  • Full payment is required two weeks prior to the evening; payment must be made for the number of Scouts booked for and no refunds will be issued for individual cancellations or absences.
  • Refunds will be allowed if cancellations are made four weeks in advance.
  • The Museum reserves the right to cancel due to insufficient registrations two weeks prior to the event, in which case we will try to reschedule your troop. If we are unable to reschedule you, all deposits and fees will be refunded.
  • Age-appropriate Scout siblings may be accommodated during Providence Children’s Museum Scout programs; call for details.
