Come play, come learn! Come VOLUNTEER!
Join Providence Children's Museum’s fun and creative team of
dedicated volunteers! Volunteers play an essential role in serving
the Museum’s mission to inspire and celebrate learning through active play and
exploration. In 2010, more than 260 volunteers and college work-study students committed over 11,500 hours!
There are many ways to get involved:
We are always looking for energetic volunteers who want to
work – and PLAY! – in a fun environment. We have opportunities for high
school and college students, adults and families.
Benefits of volunteering include:
- Working alongside Museum staff
- Training and professional development
- Letter of reference or hours
- Invitation to volunteer and staff events
- 20% discount at the Gift Shop
For more information about volunteer opportunities, contact Julie Burkhard,

The Museum needs volunteers to help with fundraising events throughout the year.
Time commitments range from several weeks prior to an event to
simply lending a hand on the day or evening of the function. Annual
Museum fundraisers include a black tie gala (spring/summer) and a golf
tournament in August.
If you are interested in volunteering your time for any of
these events, contact Julie Burkhard, (401) 273-5437 ext. 144.
